The Run
One-Mile. I covered ~5 miles total.
- 5 Minutes - Warm-up: 2% grade; 5 minutes: 4.5 mph.
- 10 Minutes - Interval 1: 2% grade; 9 minutes at 5.5 mph; 1 minute at 4.0 mph.
- 10 Minutes - Interval 2: 2% grade; 9 minutes at 5.5 mph; 1 minute at 4.0 mph.
- 10 Minutes - Interval 3: 2% grade; 7 minutes at 5.5 mph; 3 minute at 4.0 mph.
- 10 Minutes - Interval 4: 2% grade; 7 minutes at 5.5 mph; 3 minute at 4.0 mph.
- 10 Minutes - Interval 5: 2% grade; 7 minutes at 5.5 mph; 3 minute at 4.0 mph.
- 5 Minutes - Cooldown! 2% grade; 5 minutes at <5.0 mph;
- Happy heart rate of 143bpm the whole time!
Overall
I stayed up late last night with friends, so I ran on only 4 hours of sleep. But it was a totally easy-going jog this morning! Had a great time running with my buddy, Sam, and talking the whole way. It was good not to be killing myself for a change. I'm ready to take on the day (after a nap)!
